Park is on Lake Sam Rayburn, two miles east of Dam. Family atmosphere with fishing, boating, water activities and lodging available.

Sprawling for more than 114,000 acres over the beautiful Texas Piney Woods and Forest Country Region through the Angelina National Forest, Sam Rayburn Reservoir (with 560 miles of shoreline) is the largest lake which lies completely within Texas. It has earned the title of one of the South's hottest fishing lakes. Anglers from all over the world flock to this giant lake where six pound Largemouth Bass are common; Catfish, Hybrid Stripe Bass, and Crappie fishing is also excellent.

Sam Rayburn Reservoir is a nature lover's lake, scenic and uncluttered by heavy commercial development. The lake has alternate wooded areas and open water. Sam Rayburn Marina Resort is on the deep end of the lake which makes it the perfect location not only for fishing but also for swimming, boating, and skiing.
